About the Position
As an Assembler I, you’ll support the assembly of electrical equipment while learning Power Design’s safety, quality, and workmanship standards. This entry-level role is ideal for someone beginning their career in manufacturing or electrical assembly and looking to grow technical skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.
Position Responsibilities
- Assemble basic electrical components following drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Follow all safety, quality, and workmanship standards
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications
- Support senior assemblers and production team members as assigned
- Accurately document work by completing production and quality forms
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination when working with small components
- Identify color-coded wiring where required
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical assembly
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Willingness to learn new skills and accept feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- 0–1 years of manufacturing, assembly, or trade-related experience
